A Rohnert Park high school was locked down for over an hour today because of threats directed at a specific student, police said. At 9:10 a.m. the student reported to administrative staff at El Camino High School that a member of her family had made death threats against her.

The principal locked down the school as a precaution and called police. Police notified the victim’s parents and searched the school for the suspect, identified as Shelby Wilcox, 19. Speaking with her by phone, police told Wilcox to respond to the police station where she was arrested at 10:26 a.m. The lockout was then lifted and the victim was released to family members. Wilcox was booked into jail on suspicion of making criminal threats.
