Police arrested a transient sex offender on suspicion of child molestation in Scotts Valley on Thursday. Child Protection Services notified Scotts Valley police Wednesday of an adult male transient sex offender who reportedly had sex with a minor under the age of 14, police said. Following an investigation, Corey Nevin Marshall, 48, was arrested at 6:33 p.m. on Thursday on suspicion of child molestation, sex with a minor and aggravated sexual assault on a minor less than 14 years of age. Marshall was booked into the Santa Cruz County jail, according to police.
