Police are searching for a suspect who wore a gray 49ers jacket and red baseball cap while robbing a Watsonville bank at gunpoint on Monday, Watsonville police said today. The robbery occurred at the Citibank at 760 E. Lake Ave. at about 2:30 p.m. The suspect, a Hispanic or Caucasian man who was wearing the jacket, cap and blue jeans, pointed a gun at a teller and demanded money, police said.
After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled, running south on Tuttle Drive to Lake Village Drive about a block east of the bank, where he entered a parked tan-colored minivan and drove away, police said. No one was injured in the robbery, and the suspect remained at large today, police said.
