The San Leandro Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in these photos. According to Detective Alex Hidas, on 11/29/12, at about 10:18 pm, this suspect allegedly committed an armed robbery at the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant located at 15179 Hesperian Blvd in San Leandro.

Initially, the suspect tried to enter the business via the front doors but they were locked. The suspect was directed to the drive thru window for service at which time he opened the drive thru window himself while covering his hands with the sleeves of his shirt.

The suspect grabbed the cashier and demanded money stating he had a family to feed. When the cashier refused, the suspect lifted up the front of his shirt and exposed the handle of a handgun that was tucked into the front of his waistband area. The cashier then gave the suspect the money.
