Jeffrey Rodriguez registered sex offender was arrested in Salinas

A registered sex offender was arrested in Salinas during a sweep of offenders by the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office sexual assault task force Saturday, the sheriff’s office said. The sweep was conducted of about 45 sex offenders by the sheriff’s Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement Task Force in the city of Salinas and north Monterey County, the sheriff’s office said.

The sweep included parole contacts, probation contacts and address verifications, the sheriff’s office said. Jeffrey Rodriguez, 45, of Salinas, was arrested in the sweep for a parole violation, according to the sheriff’s office. Rodriguez was booked into Monterey County Jail.
