A man and woman are recovering from gunshot wounds in two separate shootings in East Oakland Saturday, police said. Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 5800 block of Harmon Avenue at about 5:10 p.m. Saturday, Officer J. Moore said. Officers arrived to find a man suffering from a single gunshot wound, Moore said. He was transported to a hospital to be treated for his wound, and is in stable condition, Moore said. Two suspects with guns fled from the scene in a car and remain at large, he said.
Several hours later, police responded to another report of shots fired in the 1200 block of 35th Avenue, at 8:25 p.m., Moore said. A woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound, he said. Moore said the woman transported herself to a hospital and is in stable condition. One suspect with a gun was seen fleeing the scene on foot and remains at large, Moore said.
