A 32-year-old Hayward man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a hit-and-run in San Ramon earlier this month that hospitalized an elderly pedestrian, San Ramon police said. In the Nov. 9 collision an 82-year-old pedestrian was hit at Village Parkway at Alcosta Boulevard, police said. Zaid Masood Khan was arrested Wednesday after investigators said they had identified his vehicle as the one involved in the collision when he allegedly failed to yield to the pedestrian, police said.
Khan was booked at the Main Detention Facility in Martinez on charges of felony hit-and-run and for a probation violation, according to police. He is being held on no bail, police said. The victim in the hit-and-run remained hospitalized as of Wednesday.
