An El Sobrante man was stabbed in a fight outside a Pinole bar in the early hours of Thanksgiving Day, police said today. Witnesses told Pinole police the fight broke out outside the Green Lantern Bar at 1907 San Pablo Ave. just after the bar closed Thursday morning, shortly before 2 a.m., Commander Pete Janke said today.

The suspect, described as a heavyset white or Hispanic male, allegedly pulled out a knife with a six-inch blade during the fight and stabbed a 31-year-old El Sobrante man in the left shoulder, Janke said. Witnesses told police there was a second victim, but police have not located him.

The suspect then fled with a woman east on San Pablo Avenue in a vehicle described as a silver four-door Ford pickup truck or possibly a utility vehicle with an open bed. The suspect was described as wearing a black beanie-style hat, a camouflage jacket, black shirt and dark pants.

The woman with him was described as Hispanic, approximately 220 pounds and 5 feet 10 inches, with long hair. She was wearing black pants and a white shirt. The victim was taken to Kaiser Hospital in Richmond by ambulance.
