* Oakland Shooting Victim Arrives In Hospital Friday Evening

After a West Oakland shooting, a victim with a gunshot wound arrived at a hospital Friday evening, an Oakland police officer said. A shooting was reported in the 3200 block of Helen Street around 7:45 p.m., Oakland police Officer Kevin McDonald said. Someone who was hit by gunfire in the shooting managed to get to a hospital on their own with injuries that were not life-threatening, McDonald said.
