A man was shot in the leg in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood on Wednesday evening, police said today. The shooting was reported at 5:22 p.m. in the first block of Golden Gate Avenue, police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said. The 36-year-old victim was standing in the area when two suspects approached and one opened fire, according to police. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to a hospital. He is expected to survive, police said. The suspects, described as two men in their early to mid-20s, ran away and had not been found as of this morning, Shyy said.
