Three men, one of them armed, robbed the Nan-Den Gems jewelry store this morning, a Fairfield police sergeant said. Police responded at 9:18 a.m. to an alarm at the jewelry store in the 3000 block of North Texas Street in the c Sgt. Kevin Carella said. Officers learned that three male suspects accosted and physically restrained two employees shortly after the store opened, Carella said. The suspect with a handgun secluded the employees while the other two suspects emptied jewelry from several display cases into a bag, Carella said. The suspects ran through the shopping center and the employees were not injured, Carella said. The three black male suspects, one with a green-colored mask on his face, were wearing hooded jackets and jeans, Carella said. The suspects might have been occupants of a maroon panel van that was seen in the mall parking lot moments before the robbery, Carella said.
