Oakland police released a sketch today of one of two suspects who attempted to kidnap a 14-year-old girl in East Oakland Monday afternoon. The girl escaped the abduction in the 1400 block of 103rd Avenue at around 4:30 p.m., police said. One suspect approached the girl from behind and grabbed her. He then attempted to take her to a waiting car nearby driven by the second suspect, police said. The girl managed to escape from the suspect and ran home, police said.

The suspects are described as tall white men with thin builds in their mid- to late-20s, according to police. The suspect that grabbed the girl is clean-shaven with shoulder-length blond hair last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black pants and brown shoes. Police have released a sketch of the man. The getaway driver was described as having a goatee and short brown spiked hair, police said. He was in a newer model two-door red Dodge Ram that was clean with an extended cab and a possible gray interior, police said.
