Two Santa Rosa residents suspected of stabbing a man on Porter Creek Road in Santa Rosa Friday were arrested Tuesday night, a Sonoma County sheriff’s sergeant said. Glenn Bates, 29, and Regina Morgan, 33, were arrested at a residence on Francisco Avenue in Santa Rosa around 7:50 p.m. Bates was arrested for attempted murder and a violation of probation.
Morgan was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and a violation of probation, Sgt. Carlos Basurto said. Both suspects are being held under no bail in the Sonoma County jail for probation violations related to prior theft cases, Basurto said.
The victim, who was stabbed multiple times, was found early Friday morning on Porter Creek Road. His name has not been released. Sheriff’s Lt. Dennis O’Leary said the victim has given several different stories about how the stabbing occurred. Detectives are still trying to determine a motive for the assault, Basurto said.
