A woman was arrested Friday night after sheriff’s deputies allegedly found large quantities of narcotics for sale in her King City home, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies served a narcotics search warrant around 7:30 p.m. Friday at the home of 52-year-old Jennie Louise Sturgill in the 45000 block of Royal Drive, sheriff’s officials said.
During the search warrant operation, deputies found 4.4 grams of concentrated cannabis, 11.5 grams of heroin, more than 15 grams of methamphetamine and 114.5 grams of marijuana in addition to other evidence of drug sales, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies detained Sturgill after they spotted her attempting to flee the home.
She was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics for sale. A male at the residence was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of methamphetamine and was cited and released, sheriff’s officials said.
