Three women attempted to rob a man at gunpoint at a residence in Novato early Wednesday morning, according to police. Police received reports at 1:48 a.m. of a man yelling for help in the 2000 block of Center Road. The 46-year-old Novato man was bleeding from an injury to his head when police arrived at the scene and he was transported to a hospital. Police said that the suspects gained access to the residence by tricking the resident into letting one of them inside.

The first suspect gained access to the residence by asking the victim if she could use his telephone. He obliged and a second suspect then entered the residence brandishing a black handgun, police said. The victim knew the second suspect, later identified as Teresa Gollihugh, police said. A struggle ensued between the suspects and the victim. A third suspect entered the residence and assisted in the assault, according to police.

The victim was able to escape and yell for police assistance while the suspects fled on foot, police said. Gollihugh, 21, of Novato, was located in Sonoma County and arrested on suspicion of robbery, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, battery resulting in serious bodily injury and conspiracy. She was transported to Marin County Jail and bail was set at $100,000, police said. Police are continuing to search for the two remaining suspects.
