Union City police served a search warrant at a home in Oakland this morning as part of an investigation into a recent violent crime, a police commander said. Early this morning, a Union City SWAT team and investigators went to a home in the area of Wesley Avenue near Lake Merritt to serve the warrant, Cmdr. Ben Horner said.
The warrant is related to a violent felony that occurred in Union City recently, Horner said. No arrests were made this morning, he said. Because several suspects connected to the crime are still at large, Horner said he could not divulge more information about the case. This morning’s operation took several hours, Horner said.
