Santa Rosa police have identified a woman whose body was found by a jogger this morning after she was stabbed to death near College Avenue and Fourth Street. Michela Wooldridge, 24, was from Humboldt County and had recently moved to the area and possibly homeless, police said.
She is believed to have been stabbed multiple times in her torso before she succumbed to her wounds early this morning. There was no evidence that the stabbing was part of a robbery or sexual assault, police said. The jogger discovered Woolridge’s body in the driveway of Bertolone Realty, in the 1200 block of Fourth Street around 5:20 a.m. A responding ambulance crew deemed the death suspicious and pollice were called to the scene.
