Warren Herman Sloan III, 40, was being held in the Solano County jail for the stabbing murder of Cheynah Watson, 19, of Fairfield on March 31. Sloan was arrested by Fortuna police on April 11 as he walked toward the Six Rivers Motel on South Fortuna Boulevard.
Watson’s body was found at the rear of a house in the 800 block of Fourth Street in Fairfield around 8:40 a.m. on March 31. On Oct. 25, the Solano County District Attorney’s Office charged Sloan with the March 12 shooting murder of Clarence James, 47, in the driveway of James’ home in the 1100 block of Hayes Street in Fairfield around 8:40 p.m. Police said James gave police a brief description of the suspect but did not know who the gunman was or why he was shot.
