Police are investigating a shooting that wounded two people early Sunday evening after the suspect asked them to identify their street gang affiliation, police said today. Three people were walking in the 100 Block of 24th Street near East San Antonio Street shortly before 6:30 p.m. Sunday when they were confronted by the suspect, police said.

The suspect asked them what gang they were in and the three people told the suspect the name of the gang. The suspect then produced a firearm and shot at two of the people, who suffered non-life threatening wounds and walked to a hospital for medical attention, police said. The third person was not injured. The suspect is still at large and police are still investigating the shooting.
