Two people were injured in two separate shootings in Oakland late Friday night, police said. The first shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of 10th Street and Mandela Parkway, Officer J. Moore said. One man was struck by the gunfire and was taken to a hospital in stable condition, Moore said.
An armed suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a vehicle, the officer said. Around 12:20 a.m., another shooting was reported on Allendale Avenue at Octavia Street, according to police. The victim in that shooting, also a male, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition to be treated for a gunshot wound. No suspect information related to the later shooting was immediately available.
