The two women arrested on suspicion of shooting a third woman in a San Jose shopping center parking lot early this morning have been identified by police as 31-year-old My Loan Nguyen and 30-year-old Truc Phuong Ho. Police received reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the Plant Shopping Center near the intersection of Curtner Avenue and Monterey Highway at 2:45 a.m., Sgt. Jason Dwyer said. Arriving officers found a 30-year-old woman who had been shot at least once. Nguyen and Ho were apprehended a short time later on Senter Road near Wool Creek Drive as they fled the scene, Dwyer said.
Based on the preliminary investigation into the incident, police believe that the victim and the two suspects knew each other, Dwyer said. The victim was transported to a hospital to be treated for her injuries, which were not life-threatening, police said. Nguyen and Ho were both booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy. Nguyen was also booked on suspicion of destroying or concealing evidence, a misdemeanor, police said.
