A Stockton woman accused of killing 26-year-old Sovannara Liv at a party in San Jose on Saturday was charged with murder with a firearm today by the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office. Officers responded to reports of a person shot inside a home in the 10300 block of Beeman Drive at 10:52 p.m., police said. They arrived to find 26-year-old Sovannara Liv of Stockton suffering from a gunshot wound. Liv died at the scene a short time later, police said. Police then arrested 20-year-old Anna Khoun on suspicion of fatally shooting Liv after the two got into a fight, according to San Jose police Sgt. Jason Dwyer.
According to Dwyer, Liv and Khoun were romantically involved. Khoun will next appear in court on October 31 at 2 p.m., when she
is scheduled to enter a plea, according to Deputy District Attorney James Leonard. According to Leonard, if Khoun were convicted, the firearm enhancement would add 10 years to her prison sentence.
