Two Suisun City men were arrested Thursday on suspicion of robbing marijuana from two teens at gunpoint, a Fairfield police sergeant said. Police responded around 10 p.m. to a report about two people brandishing a gun in the 600 block of E. Tabor Avenue, Sgt. Jausiah Jacobsen said. A citizen gave a description of the two subjects and where they went, and responding officers found them walking away from the intersection on Dover Avenue, Jacobsen said. One of the subjects stopped and the other fled but was taken into custody in a nearby neighborhood, Jacobsen said. Police then located the two teens who were robbed and they said the two suspects asked about buying marijuana from them, Jacobsen said.
The teens said the two suspects robbed the marijuana and money at gunpoint and fled, Jacobsen said. The teens then identified the suspects who were detained by police, Jacobsen said. Ali Searvance, 22, and Davion Shipley, 23, both of Suisun City, were arrested for armed robbery, weapon offenses, conspiracy and probation violations, Jacobsen said. Police also recovered the gun used in the robbery, Jacobsen said.
