Police served search warrants Tuesday at two Fairfield businesses suspected of conducting illegal gambling. The Fairfield Police Department had received numerous complaints from community members about alleged illegal gaming at the businesses, police said. After a month-long investigation that included video surveillance, police served the businesses with search warrants simultaneously at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The businesses targeted are Cyber Boss and One Stop Business Center, both located in the 1700 block of North Texas Street. The warrants were served by the Police Department’s narcotics investigations unit in cooperation with the California Department of Justice. The computer gaming locations are separately owned and are not locally operated, police said.
Police seized computers, digital routers and monetary proceeds as evidence at both businesses. Employees were detained during the searches, and several patrons were arrested on unrelated charges including outstanding arrest warrants, police said.
