The two suspects entered the market and gas station at 100 Monterey Salinas Highway around 3:20 p.m. on Friday, officials said. One man fired a handgun at a refrigerator while the other struck a victim on the head.
The first man then jumped over the counter, grabbed bags containing money and fled the store. The victim was treated at a local hospital and released. The suspects are described as two men who are both around 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing black t-shirts, dark colored pants and black or dark-colored bandannas over their faces, officials said.
