A Cloverdale High School teacher’s aide is scheduled to be arraigned in Sonoma County Superior Court this afternoon on sexual assault charges. Dyke DeWitt, 63, was arrested Wednesday at his Cloverdale home on four felony charges of sexual misconduct with a juvenile, Sonoma County sheriff’s Lt. Dennis O’Leary said.
The alleged assaults were reported to the Cloverdale Police Department, but the case was turned over to the sheriff’s office because the alleged offenses occurred in the sheriff’s jurisdiction, O’Leary said. Sheriff’s investigators found evidence related to the case in DeWitt’s home, O’Leary said. DeWitt is being held in Sonoma County Jail under $300,000 bail, a jail spokeswoman said. His arraignment is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
