One person was struck and injured by gunfire while on an apartment balcony in Antioch on Thursday night, police said today. Around 9:45 p.m., several residents at an apartment complex in the 700 block of H Street were on a balcony when shots broke out on the street below, police said.

While fleeing inside to take cover, one of the residents was struck twice by the bullets. Police said the victim was rushed to an area hospital to be treated for injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening. The shooters were not found, but officers Thursday night did recover about 20 bullet shell casings in the street in front of the apartment building.
