* 500 Pounds of Marijuana Confiscated in Prunedale

Three men were arrested and more than 500 pounds of marijuana was confiscated from a Monterey County home in rural Prunedale today, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Around 7 a.m. this morning, members of Monterey County Sheriff’s SWAT, gang and narcotics task forces served a search warrant at a residence at 235 Echo Valley Road, the sheriff’s office said.

Inside the home, law enforcement officials found 230 pounds of processed marijuana, nearly 100 marijuana plants estimated to have about 300 pounds of unprocessed marijuana on them and three guns, the sheriff’s office said. Pablo Bautista, 26, Marcos Hernandez, 31, and Jose Martin-Cruz, 24, where all arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail, the sheriff’s office said.
