A Marin City woman was arrested late Monday on suspicion of attacking a man with a razor knife in defense of her sister during a dispute over a damaged golf club, sheriff’s deputies said. Deputies responded to a report of a stabbing at an apartment complex on Cole Drive in Marin City at 11:04 p.m. They arrived to find the victim bleeding from a cut on his left arm. The man told deputies that his wife’s sister, 37-year-old Laurena Ann Jervian, had stabbed him after he “became angry that one of his golf clubs was damaged,” according to Heying. The man was treated at Marin General Hospital for the wound to his arm and was later released, Heying said. Jervian was arrested and booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
