Investigators are still trying to identify a man who sexually assaulted a woman on a park trail in Bay Point early Monday morning, police said today. Around 6 a.m. Monday, a woman was walking east on the Delta de Anza Regional Trail between Alves Avenue and Clearland Drive when a man armed with a knife emerged from the brush along the trail and attacked her, according to police. Police said the suspect threw the woman to the ground and held a knife to her throat while fondling her. The victim kicked and screamed and was able to get away from the suspect, running east on the trail, police said. The suspect is described as a black man who is about 40 years old. The victim said he was wearing a black leather jacket, black hoodie, black pants, black shoes and black leather gloves, and was riding a blue mountain bike at the time of the attack, according to police.
