* Oakland shooting one injured on Shattuck and Alcatraz avenues October 8, 2012

One person was injured in a shooting in North Oakland early this morning, a police officer said. The shooting was reported at 12:42 a.m. near the intersection of Shattuck and Alcatraz avenues, Officer Kevin McDonald said. The victim went to an area hospital in stable condition to be treated for a gunshot wound. No further information about the victim or suspects in the shooting was available as of 6:30 a.m.
