* Man Seriously Injured In North Beach Fight Early Sunday Morning

A 23-year-old man was seriously injured in an apparent fight in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood this morning. Officers responded to a report of a fight in the 400 block of Broadway just after 2 a.m., San Francisco police Officer Gordon Shyy said. Arriving police found one man who had been punched in the face and hit his head on the pavement when he fell to the ground. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were potentially life threatening, Shyy said. The suspect was described as a man in his 20s who fled the area in a white vehicle. No arrests were made.
