A puppy that was taken from a San Jose home during a burglary on Monday has been found and will be reunited with its family this afternoon. “Meeko” the puppy was found by a community member at a shopping center in Los Banos, said Joseph Okpaku, chief of staff for City Councilman Ash Kalra. Okpaku said intense media coverage of the burglary led to Meeko being located. Meeko will be reunited with the Mabanag family at their home on Sharon Park Drive this afternoon. The community member who found Meeko will be at the home to collect $6,000 in reward money. The San Jose Police Officers’ Association and San Jose Fire Fighters Local 230 had each offered a $2,500 reward, and Kalra’s office offered $1,000.
