* Loren Hoscila arrested after allegedly stabbing another man in Newark on Birkdale Drive

A man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly stabbing another man in Newark, according to police. Police received reports of a stabbing around 11:30 p.m. in the 7400 block of Birkdale Drive, police said. Officers arriving on the scene located the victim, a 37-year-old man, who was suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The man was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition this morning. Officers followed up on leads and quickly located the suspect in the stabbing, identified as 35-year-old Loren Hoscila, police said. Hoscila was arrested in connection with the stabbing. Police said the attack, which is under investigation, appears to be an isolated incident.
