* Oakland Man Fatally Shot In Grand Lake Neighborhood Identified As Charles Edwards

A man who was shot and killed in Oakland’s Grand Lake neighborhood Wednesday evening has been identified as 38-year-old Charles Edwards, of Oakland, police said. Police responded to the 800 block of Vermont Street, about a block from Grand Avenue, at 6:34 p.m. Wednesday and found Edwards suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
