A man was arrested by San Jose police Sunday after punching an officer in the face. Police said they responded to reports of a domestic disturbance on the 3900 block of 7 Trees Boulevard around 11:15 p.m. There, police found a man arguing verbally with a woman through the door of a home and trying to get inside. When an officer made contact with the suspect, the suspect punched him and gave the officer a bloody nose. After a short confrontation between the man and police, the man was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on charges of assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest.
