Police detectives have determined that a home invasion robbery that ended in a shooting Saturday night in Livermore was drug-related. The victim was shot at about 11:40 p.m. in the 1600 block of Paseo Laguna Seco, police said. According to the victims, several suspects entered the home to commit a robbery, but when the victims resisted an altercation ensued, police said.
The suspects shot the victim and immediately fled the residence, according to police. The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital with not life-threatening injuries, police said. Detectives determined the shooting and home invasion robbery were an isolated incident. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
