* John Lindt Petaluma man arrested at his home on Western Avenue probation search revealed firearm

Police arrested a Petaluma man for possession of firearms during a probation search Sunday. John Lindt, 30, was arrested at his home in the 600 block of Western Avenue after a probation search revealed several unexpended shotgun rounds, a 12 gauge shotgun and a billy club. Lindt is on probation with terms not to possess, use, or own any firearms, ammunition or other weapons, police said. Lindt was booked into the county jail for possession of firearms in violation of the terms of his probation.
