* Man Arrested After Being Injured In Concord Shooting Thursday Night

A man who was injured in a shooting in Concord Thursday night was arrested for alleged gun possession and other crimes, police said today. Officers responded around 9:10 p.m. to reports of shots fired in the 2800 block of Garden Avenue and located a car that had multiple bullet holes, police said. A short time later, police found the car’s occupants, including a 24-year-old Concord man who was struck by the gunfire, according to police. The car’s other occupants were uninjured. The man, whose injuries were not life-threatening, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm and for associated crimes, police said. Investigators were not releasing further details about the arrest and no suspect description was available for the shooting as of this morning.
