A newly formed Livermore police unit led an arrest of six people this morning at a home that is part of an ongoing drug investigation, Livermore police said. A narcotics-related search warrant was served at 1068 Coronado Way at 7:10 a.m. with officers from the Police Department’s special operations unit and SWAT team members, police said. Six people were taken into custody on charges ranging from drug offenses to resisting arrest. Because of the ongoing nature of the incident police are not releasing any suspect information other than two of the arrestees are suspected Norteno gang members. Two firearms were also found at the home, police said. The special operations unit was established just over a month ago and works narcotics and gang-related issues.
