On September 13, 2012, Santa Clara County Communications received a 911 call regarding a possible kidnapping incident in the area of Hale Avenue and Live Oak Avenue, in unincorporated Morgan Hill. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area and made contact with the three adult male victims (suspects fled the scene prior to deputies arrival). The victims reported that at approximately 7:15am this morning, 4-6 Hispanic Male Adults in dark clothing were on the victim’s property, in the rear yard, extracting Marijuana plants on the victim’s property.
The suspects were interrupted by 2 of the victims who came outside of the house and noticed the suspects on their property. The suspects brandished firearms at the 2 victims and proceeded to tie the victims up in an attempt to restrict their movements. The 3rd victim arrived on scene during this time, causing the suspects to flee. The suspects fled S/B on Hale Avenue.
All suspects were believed to be between the ages of 22 and 45. The suspect’s vehicles are described as the following: -2000’s model light colored Toyota Sequoia -2000’s model brown colored Chevrolet Suburban – and a Black Volvo sedan with tinted windows and black rims Sheriff’s Detectives will be conducting follow-up to determine if the victim’s Marijuana grow (estimated at about 100 plants) was lawful, pursuant to Medicinal Marijuana laws.
