A stolen vehicle pursuit ended in a crash that injured two other people in Santa Rosa Sunday evening, according to police. Detectives spotted the stolen vehicle being driven in the area of Colgan and Santa Rosa avenues around 6 p.m. today, said Sgt. Mike Numainville. Police attempted to stop the vehicle near Bush and S. E streets, but the driver refused to stop and fled at high speed. Before police could catch up, the vehicle caused a traffic collision at Brookwood Avenue and Bennett Valley Road.
Two drivers involved in the collision were taken to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the stolen vehicle was identified as Randy Brandon Lockett, 33. Lockett, a Sonoma County resident, is believed to have been under the influence of a controlled substance during the chase, Numainville said. The collision closed eastbound Bennett Valley Road and north and southbound Brookwood Avenue until around 9 p.m.
