Police in Walnut Creek are again asking for the public’s help in locating a local girl reported missing two weeks ago. Larissa Huntsman, 16, was last seen walking off of the Las Lomas High School campus around 1 p.m. on Aug. 24, police said. It is unknown if she then left the area on foot or was picked up in a vehicle. Police attempts to locate the Walnut Creek teen since then have been unsuccessful, and investigators said the girl’s mother, Walnut Creek resident Laura Huntsman, has not cooperated with the investigation. Larissa’s parents do not have custody of the teen, and detectives are looking into the possibility that a biological relative or another adult without parental custody may have helped herdisappear, police said.

Police today said there is nothing to indicate that a stranger kidnapped Larissa. The 16-year-old is about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds and has brown eyes and hair, according to police. She was last seen wearing a blue v-neck shirt, blue jean shorts and blue sneakers.
