* Oakland Police Discontinue Search For Possibly Armed Suspect Downtown

Police have called off a search for a possibly armed suspect in downtown Oakland this afternoon. Officers had been searching an area near 12th Street and Broadway for a male suspect armed with a gun who was wearing a flannel shirt, police said. A call had come in earlier about a possibly armed person, but officers dispatched to the area could not find anyone matching the description.
