* San Francisco DUI Checkpoint Removes Drunk Drivers From Streets

Of the 86 vehicles stopped at a San Francisco DUI checkpoint, two drunk drivers and seven other drivers were arrested for various violations near Candlestick Park Thursday night, according to police. The San Francisco police Department conducted a DUI checkpoint in the Bayview district, located at Third and Fitzgerald streets. Police arrested two drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol and another for possession of narcotics.

Five drivers were arrested for driving with a suspended or revoked license and another driver for driving a vehicle without ever having a license issued, police said. Thirteen additional drivers were cited for infractions, police said.
