Oakland police today released the names of three recent homicide victims. The latest killing occurred in the 700 block of Bergedo Drive in Sobrante Park in East Oakland shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday. Police today identified that victim as 22-year-old Marshall Hall Prosser III, police said. Prosser was on the street when the shooter got out of the car, fired at him, then got back into the car and drove away, police said.
He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, and later died. A man who was shot to death near the corner of Eighth and Adeline streets in West Oakland at about 8:55 p.m. on Monday was identified as 19-year-old Kenneth Ray Jones, Jr. Police said Jones was standing on the street corner when he was shot.
He also died at a hospital. A third homicide victim, 46-year-old Otis Lee Key, was gunned down in the 700 block of Sycamore Street at about 8 p.m. Friday. Police said a child suffered a graze wound in the shooting. Police have not released suspect information in any of the crimes.
