Two men were injured in a shooting in West Oakland Saturday night, an Oakland police officer said. One or more unknown suspects shot the men around 9:20 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of West Street, Officer J. Moore said. Both men were transported separately to local hospitals in stable condition, Moore said. The shooting was followed about 15 minutes later by another shooting across town. That shooting was reported at 9:37 in the 1900 block of 85th Avenue and claimed a female victim’s life and critically injured a male victim, Moore said. Police believe the suspect in that shooting knew the victims, but no arrests had been made.
