Police have identified a 52-year-old San Jose man who was shot to death in the Hamann Park neighborhood of San Jose early Sunday morning as Manuel Luis Fabie Jaime. Police found Jaime seated inside a parked vehicle after officers responded to a report of a shooting around 5:15 a.m. in the 3000 block of Van Sansul Avenue, according to police Officer Jose Garcia.
Officers found him suffering from at least one gunshot wound and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, police said. Police said one or more suspects fled the scene before their arrival and remain at large. The fatal shooting marks San Jose’s 28th homicide this year, police said. The circumstances and motive for the shooting are under investigation.
