Police arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence after he fled the scene of a crash in Petaluma early Monday morning. Sergio Perdomo, of Petaluma, was driving south in the 1000 block of Ely Boulevard South shortly after 1 a.m. when he lost control of his four-door sedan, according to police. His car struck a fire hydrant and came to rest in the front yard of a nearby home, police said. Perdomo and his passenger fled the accident scene on foot, but returned a short time later and he was arrested, police said.
