* Luis Alberto Gutierrez Arrested For Allegedly Being Responsible For Vallejo Shooting

Police in Daly City have arrested a Vallejo man suspected of shooting another man in the face on Sunday. Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Santa Barbara Avenue just before 2 p.m., according to Daly City police. Arriving officers found a 43-year-old victim who had been shot in the face. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his wound, which was not considered life-threatening, police said. Detectives identified the shooting suspect as Luis Alberto Gutierrez, 27, of Vallejo.

Early Monday morning, Daly City police and SWAT team officers tracked Gutierrez to a home in the 400 block of Wolfe Avenue, where he was taken into custody without incident. Gutierrez was transported to San Mateo County Jail and booked on suspicion of attempted murder, residential burglary and assault with a firearm.
